On the morning of 5th February, at the Lecture Hall, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Junior High Department of the west campus convened the faculty conference, other known as the work summary conference at the end of the term.
First of all, Director Zhang Li with the Teaching Affair Office arranged the examination work at the beginning of the next semester. Director Zhang Li made very strict and meticulous requirements of this examination. She put forward specific approaches in regard to the test time, examination room arrangements, test preparation, invigilation system as well as marking requirements. Although the test was postponed due to the snowy weather conditions, we were supposed to treat it in a rigorous manner. Through this exam, we could help students find out the existing problems and deficiencies in their studies. Later on, teachers and students could adopt feasible measures to improve and achieve the purpose of promoting teaching and learning through exams.
Second of all, Principal Assistant Ling Qian delivered his work report entitled ‘Renew Brilliance with Unity and Strive Hard without a Whip’. The report summarized and reviewed the school work in 2017 covering many aspects.
To be specific, Principal Assistant Ling Qian emphasized that the year 2017 was not only marvelous in Anqing Foreign Language School’s development, but also a crucial year to elevate the education level in that Anqing Foreign Language School entered a new historical period. Faced with a series of changes, Anqing Foreign Language School also met a variety of challenges. By virtue of sharing honor and responsibilities, all staff from Anqing Foreign Language School went through 2017 smoothly, orderly and safely. In addition, various kinds of normal work were implemented step by step with gratifying achievements.
Third of all, in 2017, we built up the consciousness of window publicity. In accordance with the work focus and work arrangements, at the start of the term, Anqing Foreign Language School strengthened publicity awareness, home-school connection, news media and interschool exchange to let students, parents and society know about Anqing Foreign Language School comprehensively.
Fourth of all, in 2017, we enhanced safety management. The guard management was more stringent, the campus patrol was more careful, the logistical support was more thoughtful and all the potential safety hazard was eliminated. Clearly, only if the campus was civilized and secure with accidents free, could we guarantee students’ happy study.
Fifth of all,, in 2017, we attached great importance to ceremony education in that characteristic activities manifested concepts and system implementation was sublimed to culture.
Sixth of all, in 2017, we constantly lifted Anqing Foreign Language School’s education, teaching and research level. Therefore, everyone was radiant with joy based on plenty of teaching achievements.
Seventh of all, at the end of the work report, Principal Assistant Ling Qian called upon all the teaching and administrative staff that with the arrival of the new year, we should have new targets, tasks and achievements. Besides, under the correct leadership of Anqing Foreign Language School, we were requested to unify our thinking, have a pragmatic attitude towards work, gather strength with clear direction, work hard and endeavor to create a new situation for Anqing Foreign Language School.
Furthermore, at the end of the conference, Principal Xu Xuchang laid emphasis on the key words as follows: objective, implementation and outcome. He stressed that staff from Anqing Foreign Language School should possess the sense of ownership, emancipate their mind and complete real practice and solid work, On the one hand, we should always keep in mind several big issues: safety, quality and student recruitment. We should stay in efficient working conditions, strengthen solidarity, raise the awareness of professional responsibility in addition to making practicable plenty of education and teaching work. On the other hand, we were supposed to have a student-oriented classroom, extract and purify the core knowledge points of the curriculum, continue to intensify information-based teaching construction and optimize results as well.
To sum up, spring has come back to the earth and the year 2017 went far away when we looked back. Meanwhile, double happiness arrived at Anqing Foreign Language School and the year 2018 came in anticipation. We sincerely wish Anqing Foreign Language School shall realize her ambitions year after year and everything shall go well when we create another glory for Anqing Foreign Language School.
